First Tuensang District Chess championship concludes

Dimapur, June 26 (EMN): Achess coaching camp-cum-first Tuensang District Chess championship, inclusive of Shamator and Noklak districts, was organised by the department of Youth Resources and Sports in collaboration with Nagaland Chess Association (NCA) at Tuensang from June 22 to the 25th.

Trongtsali Sangtam emerged as the first champion of the Tuensang chess championship and received a cash prize, trophy and certificate, a press release informed.

Haulim S Chang, Beso Chang and Lomchu Chingmak emerged as the runners-up respectively. They were also awarded with cash prizes, trophies and certificates.

The 5th position to 10th position holders were also awarded with cash prizes and certificates. Further, all the participants were given certificates and chess sets.

Meanwhile, NCA also set up its district units — Tuensang District Chess Association (TDCA), Shamator District Chess Association (SDCA), Noklak District Chess Association (NDCA) — and distributed ten chess sets to all the units under the leadership of NCA President and Minister, Neiba Kronu.
