Fire destroys more than 100 houses in Dimapur

Dimapur, Nov. 11 (EMN): A massive fire broke out at Khermahal, near Tata Parking in Dimapur, around 8 pm on Thursday, destroying dozens of houses.
An officer from the state’s Fire and Emergency Services informed this newspaper that more than 100 houses were destroyed in the inferno.
It was informed that at least two-three persons were injured but no casualty reported.
The officer from the state’s Fire and Emergency Services also informed that it received a call about the fire at 8:10 pm, reached the spot at 8:13 pm and controlled it at around 10:35 pm.
Around nine fire tenders were press into action to douse the fire.
The cause of the inferno and estimate damage is not known yet, it was informed.
A police officer present at the site of the incident told this newspaper that more than 20 LPG gas cylinders had exploded.
