Dimapur, March 22 (EMN): Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) observed the 67th Naga Republic Day at two different locations namely eastern and western regions respectively on March 22.
In the western region, the event was held at Dimapur, wherein the Naga national flag was unfurled by its kedahge, Brig. (Retd) S Singnya, in a programme chaired by its secretary general, Ghuvishe V Zhimomi. The chairperson also read out the republic day speech was read out on behalf of the kedahge, an update from the rali wali affairs stated.
The ongoing Naga political development issue was delivered by its kedallo, Zhopra Vero, while short speeches were also delivered by the kilonsers namely Hekhuvi Achumi, Litsaba Sangtam, Victor M Thuu, and GOC of WC Maj. Gen. Anito Yeptho.
In the eastern region, the republic day was celebrated at Nokhu Noking village under Khiamniungan region, where the national flag was unfurled by its killo kilonser, Puthai Lam.
The programme was chaired by kilonser, Samuel, while the welcome note was addressed by kilonser, S Aso Yimkhuing, and short speech was delivered by kilonser, TT Sangtam. It stated that commendation of Naga army was administered by GOC of EC and the vote of thanks was delivered by midan peyu of Khiamniungan region, Langkhang.
