Dimapur, April 13 (EMN): Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) of Chunlikha block under Tseminyu district conducted a demonstration on scientific cultivation of ginger at Tesophenyu and Yikhanu villages on March 29 and 30.
An update from the block stated that a field demonstration was conducted by ATM Sinlo Khing, ATM Chenobu Seb, andKebengi Kent. It added that the farmers were taught on scientific cultivation of ginger and the various cultural operations needed for a better production of the crop.
Later, ginger seed (variety-Nadia) was distributed to the farmers.
In another programme, ATMA Chunlikha block conducted a demonstration on scientific cultivation of summer vegetable crops specifying on the French beans and ginger in the jhum field at Kandinu village on March 29.
ATM namely Kebengi Kent, Chenobu Seb and Sinlo Khing apprised on the scientific cultivation of French beans through a demonstration on the plot of Musenle jhum field. Participants were also given French bean seeds.
