Fake Assam Rifles cleanliness drive busted

Mokokchung, Sep. 28 (EMN): In a sensational bust up, the jawans of Assam Rifles were caught red handed observing “stage managed cleanliness drive mission” in and around Mokokchung town when some vigilant citizens caught them in the act of ‘cleaning’ the premises of a school compound.
The video of the fake ‘cleanliness drive’ by the Assam Rifles, which has already gone viral and circulating in social media like WhatsApp and Facebook page occurred in Edith Douglas school(KL block), Mokokchung town.
Talking to sources at MPtv, a local cable channel stationed in Mokokchung, who were the first party to expose this fake operation said that the modus operandi of the Assam Rifles was to seek permission from the school authority, then, the personnel will litter the school campus first, and, later video tape and click pictures of the students and the jawans cleaning the same mess created earlier.
Investigating further into this matter it was learnt that the same process was stage managed by the Assam Rifles personnel in three other schools on September 27,namely, Queen Mary Higher Secondary school, Town Higher Secondary school and Jubilee Memorial Higher Secondary school.
Talking to a teacher in Queen Mary Higher Secondary School who was a witness to this fake cleanliness drive said the Assam Rifles personnel came to the school after asking permission from the principal, scattered some papers in the school campus area which was already clean and made the student volunteers to pick up the papers.
“They (AR personnel) brought some papers and brooms, scattered the papers and made the students to pick up the papers”, she said.
“They came after asking permission from father principal but not according to the permission given, they came in front of the school, scattered the paper and made the students to pick the papers ” she said.
