At this juncture in the context of Naga Society especially in the rural area, even in the remote villages like AVAKHUNG and PANGSHA well recognized places known as International Trade Centre without function till date. The living ex-underground old and young monotonously discuss about Nagas movement for freedom. At any time or any moment when they start to narrate their topic for so called ‘Naga Independent’ they don’t want to give a chance to other till deserted by audience. Most of them always used to express their past history as journey to China Country in the year 1967 December when they went to east Pakistan now Bangladesh 1964. On the occasion during PHOYISHA Culture festival at Sha Tüza Village, the two of the old men used to argue with each other and the eldest one is Mr. T. Mülaku and the younger one is Y. Jithrü. When the elder person lookdown and criticized on his fellow ex-UG and said I have much experience than you even you are one of the ex-UG like others. But in replied by younger person said that, I am more experience than you while I went to China and carried more knowledge from our leaders like Gen. Late Maw and Isak after all they were influenced by wine. Nowadays, the people living in Naga Villages including mere public are talking about faction and sovereignty by frequently without knowing the meaning and its process. Let us remember this verse; Jesus said there is no need a physician for healthy people. So also villagers are like unhealthy people and they need physician for their health care. Who will make them to know about Sovereignty and factions? The Former President of NNC Late A.Z. Phizo described it Naga as a sovereign nation and under no nation rule before the advent of white people. We lived independently although unrecognized country by the nations. Nagas are a nation of having its tribes and villages with sovereignty, each village has its own king or village Chief, they lived independently under Naga inhabited area economically, socially, culturally and having their own respective customary law within their own jurisdiction. In reality sovereign means a nation of independent and not under the authority of any other country. And on the otherhand faction is not so important than unity. Faction means make division into form many smaller organization breakout of disunity from main organization and disagreed to each other by ideology and political will or system.
Therefore Naga need her independent and sovereignty but not factional war. If there is a sovereignty, there will be no faction and also faction is also the root cause of disunity and self style Govt. the writer of this passage is not only saying Naga faction but want to make understand the actual meaning of faction and sovereignty to the villagers and mere public of Nagaland those who are yet to improve the knowledge for their future “we want unity” not war.
