Elon Musk announces Walter Isaacson is working on his biography

Walter Isaacson is the biographer of late Apple Co-founder Steve Jobs.

Dimapur, August 5 (EMN): Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk on Thursday announced on Twitter that a biography about him is currently in the works and the writer behind the book is none other than Walter Isaacson, the author behind the 2011 Steve Jobs biography.

It may be mentioned that a report by Fox Business back in June cited that Isaacson was in talks with the Tesla CEO on a potential biography. The famous author was reportedly yet to make a decision on the book, however, the tweet from the tech billionaire has all but confirmed the rumours.

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk wrote in his tweet that Isaacson was writing his biography and the book will cover his work on Tesla, SpaceX and his “general goings-on.”

Apart from the upcoming book, Elon Musk already has an officially published biography titled Elon Musk: How the Billionaire CEO of SpaceX and Tesla is Shaping our Future written by Ashlee Vance.

In 2017, Elon Musk’s SpaceX made history when it achieved the feat of relaunching the first reusable rocket by relaunching its Falcon 9 rocket. SpaceX made history again after launching its first crewed flight of a Dragon capsule to the ISS on May 30, 2020, with astronauts Doug Hurley and Robert Behnken.

Walter Isaacson has worked on several other biographies including Leonardo da Vinci, Benjamin Franklin, Albert Einstein and American biochemist Jennifer Doudna. His Jobs biography was turned into a motion picture starring Michael Fassbender and directed by Danny Boyle.
