Electoral roll copies given to political parties in Kohima

Kohima, Jan. 15 (EMN): A meeting was held on Friday in connection with the final publication of photo electoral roll pertaining to special summary revision at the DC’s conference hall in Kohima.

The deputy commissioner (DC) and district election officer (DEO), Kohima, Muhammed Ali Shihab A, while handing over copies of the final roll (both hard and soft copes) to the representatives of recognised political parties, thanked the entire electoral registration team and all political parties for their support towards the successful completion of the task.

ADC and ERO Kohima, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, informed that the list of amendments to the draft electoral roll for the 8 Western Angami, 9 Kohima Town, 10 Northern Angami- I, 11 Northern Angami – II, 12 Tseminyu , 14 Southern Angami- I and 15 Southern Angami- II assembly constituencies has been prepared with reference to January 1, 2021, as the qualifying date and in accordance with the registration of Electors Rules, 1960.

Stating that a copy of the aforementioned roll together with the said amendments has been published, she informed that the same would be available for inspection at DC office, Kohima, and with the booth level officers.
