Dimapur, Jan. 15 (EMN): Election Commission of India (ECI) organised a briefing meeting through video conference for general observers and police observers to be deployed for the forthcoming general elections to the legislative assembly of five states namely Goa, Manipur, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand on January 14.
An update from the Election department informed that officers from Nagaland cadre to be deployed as general observers (IAS officers) and police observers (IPS officers) attended the video conference in the office of the chief electoral officer (CEO) in Kohima.
The officers who attended the video conference are Wezope Kenye, Athel O Lotha, Mohammed Ali Shihab A, K Libanthung Lotha, KS Anden Konyak, Kevisa Kense, Kenilo Apon, Anoop Khinchi, Jyoti Kalash, Sachin Jaiswal, Lhouchalie Viya, Sarita Yadav, Jasbir Singh, Rajashekara N, Sonia Singh, Roopa M, and Vikas Katheria.
It added that Nagaland CEO V Shashank Shekhar and additional CEO N Moa Aier also attended the meeting.
