Eastern Army commander review security situation in border areas of Arunachal

General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Command, Lt General Anil Chauhan during the visit in the border areas of Arunachal Pradesh in Tawang sector on October 24.

Dimapur, Oct. 25 (EMN): General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Command, Lt General Anil Chauhan, reviewed the security situation and operational preparedness in the border areas of Arunachal Pradesh in Tawang sector on October 24 and the 25th.
The officer was briefed about the prevailing security situation and operational preparedness along the LAC by the respective commanders on ground, informed an update received here on Friday.

During an interaction with troops, the commander appreciated their hard work and dedication in their endeavour to safeguard the nation’s border and insurgency prone area while operating in hostile terrain and adverse weather conditions.

He also lauded the exemplary synergy amongst all security forces and civil administration and reinforced the need to be fully prepared for any contingencies.

The officer was accompanied by GOC, Gajraj Corps, Lt Gen Manoj Pande, AVSM, VSM.
