Districts bid farewell to outgoing officers

Dimapur, July 4 (EMN): Peren, Zunheboto and Wokha districts have organised farewell programme to outgoing top officials who were transferred to other places of posting during the recent reshuffle by the State government.

Peren district organised a farewell programme in honour of the outgoing Deputy Commissioner, Peren, Sarita Yadav, on July 4 in the conference hall of the New DC Complex, Peren.

Sarita Yadav, in her speech, expressed gratitude to all officers and colleagues in the district, civil societies, students’ organisations and individuals for their cooperation and support during her tenure as DC.

Sentiwapang Aier, incoming DC, expressed gratitude to the district administration, DPDB, head of offices, civil societies and NGOs for warm welcome accorded to him. He described the outgoing DC, Sarita Yadav, as an achiever whose footsteps he hoped to follow. He appealed to all for their cooperation and support for the progress of the district.

The programme was chaired by Albert Ezung, ADC Peren. Folk song was presented by DBs Peren. Speakers in the function included Vejoyo Swuro, SDO (Civil), Peren; Dr. Tinojongshi, ADC Jalukie; Kochuiding, Head DB; Rammi Ndang, Head Assistant DC office; representatives from the district officers; NGOs and well wishers.

A song was presented by staff of DC office, Peren, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Rumbemo Kithan, EAC Ngwalwa.

Zunheboto

Zunheboto district also organised a farewell programme for its outgoing Deputy Commissioner, Shanavas C, and SDO (C) Relise Sangtam on July 3 at Zunheboto town hall.

The programme was chaired by James Renbi Kikon, EAC Zunheboto, while short speeches were delivered by TL Kiusumong, ADC Satakha; T Uniel KichuAo, SP Zunheboto; Khetoshe, PS to DC; Shikato, Head GB (Sadar); president of Sumi Hoho, and president of Sumi Kukami Hoho.

In their farewell speeches, both the officers thanked the people of Zunheboto for the cooperation rendered to them during their stay in the district. They stated said that development would come only if all work together.

They have sought public support and cooperation with the new DC and SDO for further development in the district. Stating that they are leaving the district with good memories and hoped to come back and work in Zunheboto in days to come.

Wokha

Wokha district also organised farewell programme for the outgoing ADC Sanis, Avelu Ruho, and SDC (C) HQ T Lanusenla Longkumer, in the DC’s conference hall on July 4.

Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon, thanked the outgoing officers for rendering selfless services for the benefit of the public in the district. He applauded both the officers for the commendable contributions they have made while discharging their assigned duties. Stating that transfer and posting are part and parcel of government rules, he remarked that they will shine wherever they are posted.

The outgoing ADC Sanis, Avelu Ruho, expressed happiness that many government policies and schemes could be implemented with the support of the public. Notable achievements included conduct of electioneering process, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Swachh campaign, immunisation campaign, plastic ban and other developmental activities.

SDO (C), T Lanusenla Longkumer thanked the staff for their support and urged them to render the same zeal to the incoming officer for the benefit of the public. She further thanked the DC for always being the mentor while discharging her assigned duties.

The programme was chaired by SDO (C) Wokha, Chonpenthung Ezung, while short speeches were also delivered by Head DB Khopenthung Ezung and EAC (Establishment) Kihomong.

A farewell programme was also held at Sanis Headquarter (Hq) for the outgoing ADC Sanis, Avelu Ruho, on July 3 which was attended by the Head of Offices from the sub-division, NGOs, GBs and the public.

Speakers at the function expressed in unison on the visible changes brought about in the area through her selfless initiatives and her ability to bring people together for the common good of the community.

The ADC thanked her staff, officers of various departments in the sub-division, village councils, GBs and the public for their support and cooperation towards all the endeavours undertaken by her. She encouraged her junior officers and staff to continue the good work that is being carried out by the Sanis administration team despite the lack of resources and facilities.
