District Hospital Dimapur new building burgled, several items vandalised

Dimapur, May 23 (EMN): The electrical appliances on the ground floor of the District Hospital Dimapur new building have been stolen, while switch boards and electrical fittings are also vandalised.

The theft took place on Saturday night but the incident came to light only on Sunday morning when the electrical appliances were found missing and several items damaged, it was informed.

The Medical Superintendent of the hospital told Eastern Mirror that new hospital building is still under construction and yet to be officially handed over to the hospital authority. The facility is said to be manned by two chowkidars at night.

Meanwhile, Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Rothihu Tetseo said no case has been filed on the incident and no arrest made so far.
