Dimapur hands over final electoral roll to political parties

Dimapur, Feb. 9 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Dimapur district, Anoop Kinchi, who is also the district election officer of the district, has handed over the final electoral roll publication to political parties such as the Bharatiya Janata Party, Indian National Congress, Naga Peoples’ Front and the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party.

A copy of the electoral roll in both hard and soft copy was given to the political parties on February 7 in the official chamber of the deputy commissioner, the IPR stated.

The government publicity agency the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR) gave updates to the media informing about the event.

The public has been informed that the list of amendments to the draft electoral roll for 1-Dimapur I, 2-Dimapur II, 3-Dimapur III, 4-Ghaspani I and 5-Ghaspani II assembly constituencies have been prepared in accordance with the Registration of Elector Rules of 1960.

The copy of the roll together with the list of amendments has been published and will be available for inspection in the office of the deputy commissioner during office hours, the IPR stated.
