Dimapur, Sep. 7 (EMN): The monthly meeting of the Dimapur District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) for the month of September was conducted on September 6 in the deputy commissioner’s conference hall. The meeting was presided over by the minister for PHED Jacob Zhimomi, updates stated.
The government publicity agency the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR) issued updates to the media on Saturday informing about the programme.
During the meeting, the board approved the local area development programme for 2019-20 for all five assembly constituencies in Dimapur district. Reports stating grievances and requirements of schools in the district prepared by the district education establishment were discussed and given recommendations, the IPR stated.
Further, the board recommended a number of Societies for registration: Trinity College at Thahekhu; Eastern Christian College Alumni Association at Padumpukhuri; Nagaland Pencak Silat Association at Y Zhimo colony, Signal Basti; Inclusive Support for Social Upliftment at Firing Range, Dimapur; Beyond Cancer at Diphupar B, Dimapur; Chomoukedima Hindu Society at ward-6, Chumukedima town, Dimapur; U-Turn Ministry, Dimapur; and Life Square Society at Neiphrole colony, Dimapur.
The department of Rural Development also gave a presentation about different schemes that are being implemented in the district by the department, the IPR added.
