DC Mokokchung issues traffic regulation

Mokokchung, Sep. 15 (EMN): In view of the extensive road damage between Mariani and Dessai at KM 25.050, the deputy commissioner of Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh, has restricted movement of heavy vehicles carrying more than 20 tones and 10 wheelers truck or above along the stretch till the damage portion of the road is repaired.
The notification stated that any truck owners/ transport agencies not adhering to the order would attract a penalty as per the relevant section of the law. It added that the order would come into force with immediate effect.
In another statement, the DC informed all concerned members that the DPDB meeting would be held on September 19 in the conference hall of the ADC (Planning) at 11 am.
Besides, a district-level coordination and monitoring committee (DISHA) meeting would be held on September 22 in the conference hall of the DC’s office at 10 am with the Lok Sabha MP and chairperson of DISHA, Tokheho Yepthomi.
Yepthomi has directed the district agriculture officer, district horticulture officer, district project officer of Land Resource, assistant director of Food and Civil Supplies, executive engineer of PWD (R&B), executive engineer of PWD (NH), executive engineer of Water Resources and executive engineer of PHED to make presentation of their departmental activities in the meeting and submit of soft copy of the same on or before September 21. All HoDs are also requested to attend the meeting.
