CYSA condemns Sep. 3 incident in Kohima

Kohima, Sep. 8 (EMN): The Cheridiki Youth and Sports Association (CYSA) has condemned the September 3 incident wherein one of its bonafide member Zasilie Yase was beaten black and blue by four persons at Tinpati junction, Kohima.
A release issued by the association president, Zaputuo Angami and secretary, Kekhrieselie Chase has condemned the awful act in the strongest term.
According to the release, on the fateful night at around 7 to 8 pm, the main accused Seyievizo Zhatsu, who was reportedly in an inebriated state, waylaid the victim Zasilie and his five other friends who were roaming around at Tinpati junction.
At the spot, it was informed that Seyievizo, son of Neizokhotuo Zhatsu of Kohima village, stopped the six friends without reasons. However, since Zhatsu was in an inebriated state, Yase and his friends reportedly left the scene.
The release stated that Zhatsu came back along with three other friends and beat up Yase and another friend Keviu, whose condition was reported to be out of critical.
CYSA termed the act as an attempt to murder on the victim Yase who had serious injurious on the stomach and had to be admitted to Kohimas hospital.
The three other accused were Diethosituo Rio, son of Zasivituo Rio of Tuophema village; Keneisetuo Solo, son of Petenei-o Solo of Kohima village, and Bendang L. Jamir, son of Limatoshi Jamir from Mokokchung district.
The release informed that the four accused were arrested by the police personnel the next day and are in the custody of North Police station.
