Core Committee of Parliamentary Committee on Naga Political Issue to hold its first meeting

Kohima, July 5 (EMN): The newly formed Core Committee of the Parliamentary Committee on Naga Political Issue will conduct its first meeting at Rhododendron Hall, Chümuokedima, in Dimapur on July 9 at 11 am.

All the members of the core committee have been requested to attend the meeting, an update from member secretary of the committee and minister, Neiba Krobu informed on Monday.

The committee had earlier proposed to hold its first meeting on June 19 but was postponed following the extension of state-wide total lockdown to contain the spread of Covid-19.

It may be mentioned that the Parliamentary Committee on Naga political issue was constituted recently, to discuss matters related to the protracted Naga issue and play the role of facilitator in the ongoing peace talk between the Government of India and the Naga political groups
