Cop’s murder: Dy. CM, organisations condemn

Dimapur, Sep. 15 (EMN): Various organizations and individuals have condemned the murder of police inspector of the 5th NAP ‘C’ Coy Pfutsero, Neiphretuo Metsie-o, who went missing a few days ago. The dead body of the police officer was recovered on Sep. 15 between Lasumi and Zapami villages.

Dy. CM: Dy. Chief Minister Y Patton, while expressing anguish at the tragic death of Niephretou Metsie-o, ABI of 5th NAP Bn, urged the law enforcing agencies to thoroughly investigate the nature of the dead and book the culprits at the earliest to award a befitting punishment to the perpetrators as per the law of the land.

Patton extended his deepest condolence to the bereaved family and prayed that the “departed soul rest in peace.”

NDPP: The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has expressed shock at the gruesome murder of Inspector Neiphretuo Metsie-o by some ‘blood-thirsty’ miscreants.

Stating that such barbarism has no place in a civilised society, the NDPP appealed to the state government and the law enforcing agencies to leave no stone unturned in arresting the culprit and book the murderers at the earliest.

The party also requested the people to extend co-operation in the investigation process.

The NDPP also expressed deepest sympathies to the bereaved family members, relatives and friends, and prayed that the departed soul rest in peace.

Youth Resources advisor: The advisor of Youth Resources and Sports, Zale Neikha has expressed shock over the murder of Neiphretuo Metsieo and appealed the authorities to book the culprits and give a befitting punishment as per the law.

“It is unfortunate and sad that inhumane cases of kidnap and murder, once unknown in Naga society, have become more prominent in the recent past,” the advisor lamented. He condemned the heinous crime and appealed to the citizens of Naga society “to have that brotherly attitude of respect, love and compassion and let peace prevail in our land.”

Neikha also expressed condolences to the bereaved family , loved and dear ones of the departed.

CPO: The Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) has vehemently condemned the barbaric murder of Nephretuo Metsieo, whom it described as a very sincere officer.

The CPO said that the Chakhesangs shall not tolerate such act of barbarism within its jurisdiction.

The CPO president, Kekhwengulo Lea and general secretary, Mutsivoyi Kotso, claimed in a press release that the deceased was not waylaid as presumed by some but was murdered in cold blood by the occupants in his car for reason best known to the perpetrators, while he was proceeding to his place of posting at Pfutsero from Kohima on Sep. 7.

The CPO urged the investigating agencies and the administration to leave no stone unturned to bring the culprits to book at the earliest.

Saying that such act of extreme cowardice deserves the highest degree of punishment, the organization urged the authorities concern to award a befitting punishment to the perpetrators and deliver justice without any delay.

Further, it expressed its deepest heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family members.

Meanwhile, the CPO cautioned social media users to refrain from spreading rumours that could create communalism.

CYF: The Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF) has strongly condemned, what it termed, the barbaric murder of Neiphretuo Metsie-o of Chiechama village. It also “strongly object to the criminal act of murder under its jurisdiction and warns the perpetrators with severest consequences once they are caught.” The organization also has assured its fullest co-operation to the investigating authorities to nab the culprits. It further extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.

TCS: The Tangkhul Civil Society (TCS) while condemning the barbaric killing of Neiphretuo Metsie-o appealed the authority to book the perpetrators at the earliest and bring justice. It also called upon its all people to extend help in arresting the perpetrators. The TCS conveyed condolence to the deceased family and loved ones and extended their solidarity.

The Tenyimi Youth Organization of Dimapur, the Zuketsa Area Public Organization, the Kandi Public Union (KPU), the Tenyimi Students Union Dimapur, and Khezha/Khuzhatephe Public Organization also condemned the murder and appealed the law enforcing agencies to book the culprits at the earliest.
