Congress goodwill team holds meet in Mokokchung

Mokokchung, August 19: The good will team of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) visited Mokokchung and held a meeting with the District Congress Committee (DCC), Mokokchung, on Friday. NPCC president, K Therie, could not accompany the team due to unavoidable situation.
The team included working president of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), Ayang Aonok; vice president and Mokokchung District in-charge Khriedi; Mahila president Lucy; Nagaland Youth Congress president P Setsacho; and Chairman NPCC Media Cell, Capt GK Zhimomi.
During the meeting, the working president of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), Ayang Aonok, said during ten years of Congress rule in Nagaland, the party stumbled one-sided toward the Naga political problem which affected the party for three election terms.In this regard, he said the party must now retrospect and amend the past mistakes. He expressed confidence that the party would have the blessings of the public in the coming state elections.
The working president also urged upon the party workers to choose their candidates/ leaders not basing on their wealth and assets but one who knows the problems of the people.
While stating that entire opportunists have left the party and only the loyal and committed members remained, Ayang Aonok called upon the party members to reconnect the Congress position again to emerge victorious in the coming state elections. He also urged the party workers to hear the voice of the youth to fulfill their aspirations.
Earlier, a brief report of DCC Mokokchung activities was tendered by P Aley, General Secretary (Administration) DCC Mokokchung.
The District Congress Committee (DCC) Mokokchung, has submitted a representation to the NPCC to nominate former CLP leader and former Minister, I Imkong, as member of Congress Working Committee (CWC).
