According to the government bulletin DIPR on Thursday, the Home department has issued a notification stating that officers and staff of the establishments of Nagaland House at Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Shillong and the VIP Guest House in Kohima have been ‘functioning without any service rules.’
“There is dire necessity to have a proper service rules to control, monitor and guide the officers and staff under these various establishments…” the DIPR stated. For said reason, the government has instated a committee to examine draft service rules. The members of the committee are led by the secretary for Home (GAB) as chairman, with a representative from the P & AR department as member-secretary. The members are a representative each from the Finance and Law departments, and the DRC of Kolkata and Delhi, the DIPR stated.
The committee is to examine the draft service rules in detail and prepare a final draft within three months time. It may also “make exercise” for framing a model staffing pattern for Nagaland Houses and medical lodges, the updates stated.
