Dimapur, Aug. 3 (EMN): The Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI) vehemently condemned the alleged ‘ultimatum/ threat’ served to the business community under Sumi region by the NNPG as being circulated on social media.

CNCCI has taken serious note as the members of the business community were made victims in the past and present due to political differences between different Naga political groups.

A CNCCI’s press release issued jointly by its vice chairman, S Abenthung Ngullie, and the general secretary, Dr. Seyievilie Mor, affirmed that it has always been supportive for early and honourable solution to the long protracted Naga political issue. While asserting its respect to all Naga political groups in their pursuit for a final solution, CNCCI urged them to understand that the solution to Naga political issue neither lies with the business community nor forced closing/ opening of their establishments.

CNCCI, therefore, appealed to the NPGs to resolve the Naga political issue on the right platform and stop harassing the peaceful section of society (business community) for Naga solution.

“Conducting business activity is our livelihood and that cannot be contested nor infringed upon by any organisation,” CNCCI stated.
