Chümoukedima organisations banish murder accused

Dimapur, Aug. 8 (EMN): Various organisations under Chümoukedima town have banished the murder accused, Sanjay Lodh, and his family for life from its jurisdiction.

The decision to this effect was taken during a joint meeting of the Chümoukedima Town Youth Organisation (CTYO), Chümoukedima Town Mechü Krotho (CTMK), Chümoukedima Town Mothers’ Association (CTMA), Chümoukedima Town Students’ Union (CTSU) with the Hindu society on July 29.

Sanjay Lodh was arrested for the murder of Tasenjungla Ao on July 12, whose body was found from a pond near a timber factory. The accused and his family was expelled for the heinous crime committed and tarnishing the image of peace loving people of Chümuokedima.

The organisations warned that the Hindu society of Chümoukedima would be held responsible in the event of any untoward incident relating to the culprit and his family in the future.

This was stated in a joint statement issued by CTYO president, Diethosilie Shuya and the assistant general secretary, Petekhrielie Kuotsu.
