Chümoukedima bids farewell to outgoing DC
DIMAPUR — The Chümoukedima district on Wednesday bade farewell to its outgoing deputy commissioner (DC), Abhinav Shivam, during a programme held at DPDB Hall in DC’s office, Chümoukedima.
In his farewell speech, Abhinav Shivam has acknowledged the support of officers and staff for making a positive impact in his life and credited all the successes to the cooperation rendered by them.
Stating that none of the officers and staff has failed him during his tenure, he has owned responsibility on his part as a leader, if there be any gaps or failure. He expressed gratitude for the love and affection he received from the people of the district during his tenure.
He stressed that an officer is only successful if the staff are efficient and added that the support and coordination of various departments were extremely helpful in addressing various issues during his tenure.
He encouraged the officers and staff to continue the same team work and support to the new DC. As administration is all about teamwork, he requested the officers and staff to follow the same path of coordination.
The incoming DC, Polan John, lauded the outgoing officer as one of the most capable, competent and efficient IAS officers. Describing Chümoukedima as a product from a scratch, he has lauded the outgoing DC for being instrumental in making the district to what it is today.
He has sought support and cooperation from the officers and staff and looked forward to working with them in the days to come.
The ADC of Medziphema, James Swu, speaking on behalf of the administrative officers, described the outgoing DC as efficient and knowledgeable officer. He thanked the outgoing DC for guiding and moulding the officers and staff and wished him success in his future endeavours.
