Dimapur, April 23 (EMN): The government of India’s interlocutor for Naga peace talks, AK Mishra and leaders of NSCN (IM) met again at Chümoukedima Police Complex on Saturday, to hammer out the differences for a settlement to the vexed Naga political issue.

It was the second consecutive meeting between the two parties and the third this week.

A reliable source informed Eastern Mirror that the Saturday’s meeting, which lasted for about an hour-and-a-half, was “fruitful”.

The source added that Mishra assured the delegation led by Muivah that the final agreement would be based only on the Framework Agreement signed between the government of India and the NSCN (IM) on August 3, 2015.

When asked if the NSCN (IM) has plans to meet the Central leadership in Delhi in the coming days, the source said that it will be discussed when Mishra and the group’s Chief Negotiator and General Secretary Th Muivah meet again on Monday.

The source also updated that Muivah is now fit and fine after the minor surgery he underwent recently.

The interlocutor and Muivah are scheduled to have a one-on-one closed-door meeting at Chümoukedima Police Complex on Monday.

They had an informal talk at the Hebron Camp, the headquarters of the NSCN, on Tuesday, followed by two more rounds of talk at Chümoukedima.

It is said that the interlocutor is likely to meet Nagaland government’s Core Committee on Naga Political Issue and civil societies today, Sunday.

Mishra, who arrived in Nagaland earlier this week, has been holding hectic parleys with Naga political groups and leaders of civil society organisation in an attempt to bring a solution to the protracted Naga political issue.

He had a meeting with the church leaders and civil societies before holding talks with Working Committee, Naga National Political Groups (WC-NNPG) on Thursday and then with the NSCN (IM).
