Dimapur, Aug. 30: The first ever ‘Arju Autumn Fest’ event will be held on October 10 and 11 at Rajeshwari Karuna School campus, Tuli, in Mokokchung district, informed the event organiser, Community Educational Centre Society (CECS) during a press conference on August 30.

Addressing the media persons, CECS director Subonenba Longkumer stated that the event is being organised with a vision to create a platform to promote untapped talent, local entrepreneurs and tourism.

He explained that ‘Arju’ is derived from Ao dialect meaning a bachelors dormitory where ancestral knowledge and wisdom about tradition, society and skills were discussed. According to him, the event would be held in Tuli in order to promote the sub-division as Tuli is easily accessible by the neighbouring states like Assam, and Arunachal.

He informed that the events would consist of indigenous games, go-kart, ATV ride, outdoor camping, food court, table tennis, concert, display of Ao Naga artefacts and many more.

It would also feature artistes like Incipit, Dreamz Unlimited, Sunep Lemtur, Zuchobeni Tungoe, Mengu Suokhrie, Toshimoa Jamir and Imli K Imchen.

Longkumer also mentioned that the event is being organised not to make money but to promote local talents.
