Brillante website launched; Kikon pitches for making Nagaland the Piano capital in the country

Kohima, Nov. 29 (EMN): The Advisor for IT, Science and Technology and NRE, Mmhonlumo Kikon on Monday (Nov. 29) pitched for making ‘Nagaland the Piano capital of India’.

He was addressing at the launching programme of the official website of Brillante, the Nagaland piano festival 3rd edition at the directorate of Information and Technology (IT) in Kohima.

Kikon expressed his delight on how the people – through Brillante has transformed and has become the agent of change while adding that it is a brilliant idea that Brillante has become a respected and a familiar brand in India’s music scene.

He also appreciated and hailed the team of Brilliante for the initiative which is going global, despite being from a small state.

Putting on record of Brillante being the first official website by the event based organisation in the state, he appreciated the initiative for taking music event to a next level by establishing an online platform to amplify the voices of the people globally.

Kikon, a poet himself also shared his empathy to the art and culture that the society expresses and the challenges faced while adding that inorder to make a global impact it needs big vision.

The advisor also viewed that the vision of Brilliante is going to impact society beyond imagination and asserted Brillante would make ‘Nagaland the Piano capital of India’ and support the piano community beyond Nagaland. He said, “this is worth investing and this is worth supporting”.

Kikon also stressed on the importance of music adding that for the development of mind it is integral and essential for children from each section of the society.

The director and founder of Brillante, Khyochano TCK shared how Brilliante evolved from an event in 2017 in the state then in 2019 as a national event and the third edition in 2021 now as an international event while informing that it will be launched virtually from December 15 till the 17th in YouTube.

She also asserted that the platform had been enabling the pianist community in whatever artistic medium they’re pursuing such as performing arts.

Meanwhile a representative of the NK Square said that the website also presents the features of website where users can access the services via http://www.brillantfest.org/

The launching programme was attended by the Director of Information and Technology and officers, Brillante team and others.
