Dimapur, Sep. 3 (EMN): With the intention of sharing values and spreading joys of life, Bosco Club of Salesian College of Higher Education (SCHE) visited Dimapur District Jail on September 2.
A contingent of 17 students under the coordination of Br. Dominic Ralte, Assistant Professor, conducted a value based programme for the inmates of the district jail lasting for an hour and half at the jail hall. The programme comprised of prayer service, sharing the word of God, inspirational video clips and entertaining items.
Mhonbeni Patton, the jail chaplain, welcomed the college contingent and began the programme with a prayer. The moments of prayer that followed invited the participants to realise that they are children of God no matter of what has happened in their lives.
Sharing the word of God, Probin Kullu exhorted all to sense the divine in everything and highlighted the urgency of righting wrongs in the society with firm determination and great courage.
The inmates were entertained by the students through their lively dance, action songs and a choral piece.
The programme ended with a motivational clip which invited the viewers to realise their identity as human beings and to consider their fellow human beings in their daily living.
