DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 10: The Bharatia Janata Party (BJP) Tamenglong District has congratulated the Government of India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making all efforts from christening to sea trial to commissioning the Inshore Patrol Vessel (IPV) ‘Rani Gaidinliu’ in honour of legendary freedom fighter Rani Gaidinliu of Zeliangrong community of Manipur.
A statement issued by Joyson Kamei, general secretary, BJP Tamenglong District, said the vessel must also be considered a ‘shrine of deep significance” to commemorate the idealism and cheerful sacrifice of Ranima Gaidinliu who gave her youthful life for the cause.
The BJP Tamenglong District also congratulated the state BJP leaders Th. Chaobaji, convener, State Election Management Committee, BJP Manipur Pradesh and Adim Pamei, vice president, BJP Manipur Pradesh, who is the tribal face of BJP of Manipur, for receiving invitation to attend the historic ceremony of commissioning of Inshore Patrol Vessel (IPV) ‘Rani Gaidinliu’.
“It is the moment of pride and joy for the people of Manipur and Zeliangrong community in particular whose daughter Rani Gaidinliu has been highly honoured by the Government of India,” Kamei added.
