BJP President JP Nadda takes part in auto-rickshaw rally in Nagaland

Dimapur, Sep. 16 (EMN): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda on Friday visited a church in Kohima and took part in an auto-rickshaw rally in Dimapur before leaving for New Delhi.
Nadda, who was on a two-day visit to Nagaland, paid a visit to Mary Help of Christians Cathedral in Kohima, where he encouraged the church administrators to plant more trees for scenic beauty as well as environmental protection.
He was accompanied by BJP Nagaland president Temjen Imna Along and MP S Phangnon Konyak.
The BJP chief then flew in a helicopter to Dimapur airport, where he was received by Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton, Minister of PHED Jacob Zhimomi, Advisor of Power department Tovihoto Ayemi and several other legislators.
Nadda then got into a decorated auto-rickshaw for a rally from the airport to Niathu Resort with Patton.
The BJP members and general public, who formed a human chain, waved BJP flags along the way. It was followed by an hour-long meeting with intellectuals and professionals at the Niathu Resort.
Nadda also convened a closed door meeting with the BJP core committee at Patton’s residence, where they discussed about the strategies for the upcoming Nagaland assembly election.
