Dimapur, July 23 (EMN): The organising secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Nagaland, Ananta Narayan Mishra, undertook a tour of Wokha district during July 18-19.
N Nchumbemo Jami, general secretary, Wokha district BJP, issued a press release on Sunday informing about the event.
At every meeting, the press release stated, Ananta Mishra spoke about the party’s organisational setup. He talked about ’10-points to execute to prepare for the forthcoming general assembly elections on a war footing.’
“BJP is basically a party based for the grass root people and not against any religion. It believes in positive secularism and value-based politics. The notion that BJP is a Hindu party is just a political propaganda,” the press release claimed. The press release claimed further that the government at the centre, under the “legendary” leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was a “scam less and corruption free government.”
The BJP leader was stated to have assured the public that in the coming elections, the ‘BJP will form government in Nagaland as it is cornered by Assam, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh which are all BJP ruled states.’
Narayan Mishra requested the public ‘not to be confused with political propaganda but join hands and vote for BJP so as to relieve the hardship the public are facing daily,’ the press release added.
