Dimapur unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held its 2nd executive meeting at Hotel Saramati on April 24.

Stating that BJP is a working party, the state secretary and in-charge of BJP Dimapur, Zaveyi Kezo, while speaking at the programme, asked the district presidents to resign if they cannot perform their duties well before the party removed them.

‘If you cannot perform and do not want to perform, give a chance to a capable person so that they can lead the party’, he stated. He added that unlike the regional parties, BJP works all year round and gives services to the people.

He reminded that during the pandemic, Dimapur unit was one of the best performing districts. Even as the pandemic was far from over, he urged the party members to continue helping the people and at the same time strengthen the party.

He also requested the karikartas to help the people in availing the various schemes whichever is applicable to the people.

Also speaking at the meeting, the district executive members K Hukuto Khulu, requested the state-level workers including elected MLAs and those working at the government-level to support all the districts and mandal party workers not only during election times but on other times too.

He also urged the party workers and elected members to constantly keep in touch with one another towards strengthening the party in the state.

The party state secretary, Atila Phom, called upon the party workers to work together under the leadership of the state president and the deputy chief minister in order to strengthen the party. Stating that women’s participation in politics was zero, she challenged the women members to take active part for an overall development in the state.

The party spokesperson, Akum Pongen, requested the party workers to sacrifice and work hard to enable the party to grow stronger in the days to come.
