Benny Metha wins 1st Nagaland Downhill Championship

Mokokchung, May 2 (EMN): Seventeen year old Benny Metha representing Xtreme Tribal Brothers (XTB) racing team from Kohima was adjudged the winner of the first ever 1st Nagaland Downhill Championship organised by Trail Hounds Cycling Club at Mokokchung.
Competing for the coveted title and bragging rights of being the fastest Naga downhill mountain biker, Benny clocked 4 minutes 13:75 seconds negotiating more than two kilometres of negotiating steep rough terrain with jumps, drops, rock gardens and other obstacles.
The second place was bagged by Tzudiyong Jamir representing THCC came on second place clocking 4 minutes 25:50 seconds, Kevilebo Zhotso from Xtreme Tribal Brothers on third place clocking 4 minutes 37:56 seconds, Petesedeyo from Eccentric Cycling Club Kohima came on fourth clocking 4 minutes 45:09 seconds and Alemba Thonglui representing team Native Station, Kohima clocking 4 minutes 45:56 seconds came on fifth position.
In junior category, Moanuksung, purzulu and Kilangmoa from THCC came on first, second and third respectively.
The most promising rider was also bagged by Benny Metha and the youngest rider award in the competition went to Odijung from THCC.
