Kohima, June 10 (EMN):
Kohima police has said three minors have been confirmed to be involved in the recent ransacking and burglary incident of Eklippz Hair and Beauty Salon in Kohima.

“In connection with the ransacking and burglary incident at Eklippz Hair and Beauty Salon at MK Market, Razhü Point, wherein a case had been registered at North Police Station, three juveniles are ascertained to have been complicit in the offence,” read a post by Kohima Police on Facebook.

It further informed that necessary action is being taken as per the provisions of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) Act.

Meanwhile, reliable sources informed Eastern Mirror that the youngest among the three children confessed about entering the parlour and ransacking.

It was learnt that the three children — two brothers and another child (youngest) from another family — had been visiting the parlour for about four days by entering from the back door of the ground floor during the lockdown.

The source informed that after breaking the glasses of the back door, the children sat on the shoulders of each other to open the door’s latch before entering the parlour. The eldest of the three had allegedly lured the other two to sneak into the salon.

The children were said to have been kept at the observation hall after undergoing Covid-19 test at the time of filing this report.

It may be mentioned that the incident came to light on June 7 after the owner, a 30-year-old woman, visited her salon to pick up some cosmetic products earlier this week.

To her shock, she found her salon vandalised, damaging several items and some cash went missing as well.

Property worth approximately INR 3 lakh were said to be destroyed.
