Former Chief Secretary of Nagaland, Banuo Z Jamir, was on Wednesday sworn-in as the new Lokayukta of Nagaland.
State Chief Secretary, J Alam, administered the oath of office to Jamir during a swearing-in ceremony held in the conference hall, Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima, an official bulletin stated.
The state government had announced the appointment of Jamir as the Lokayukta of Nagaland on the recommendation of the Selection Committee, on December 20 last year.
