Dimapur, March 6 (EMN): The additional commissioner of GST, Sashi Wapang, launched the Business Association of Nagas (BAN) membership registration portal www.member.baofnagas.com at Grace hall in Aoyimti, Dimapur, on March 5.
Speaking at the launch programme, Sashi Wapang appreciated BAN’s initiative to go digital and adapting to the changing times. He stated that the forefathers were farmers just two generations ago and the culture of government job came about only a generation back, an update from BAN stated.
With the budding of first generation businesspersons among the Nagas, Wapang noted that business acumen was not passed down among Nagas like other communities. Observing that Nagas are generally weak in documentation, he has stressed on the need to work on it to grow in business. He further stated that BAN could be a common platform for Nagas to share ideas and views so that the new entrepreneurs do not make the same mistakes.
BAN president, L Mongkum Jamir, has appreciated the software development team for coming up with a user-friendly web portal. He stated that Naga entrepreneurs could now easily register their business with BAN by using the online facility.
BAN executive member, Kedo Nagi, chaired the launch programme, while Tiarenla Jamir and Lungdsuo Mozhui of Excellogics Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd. made technical presentations and BAN financial advisor, Sashi Pongener, offered the dedicatory prayer.
It mentioned that the membership registration portal could be accessed through the website www.baofnagas.com. It informed that Naga entrepreneurs could fill in their business details, upload documents, pay membership fee and renew their membership through the portal.
