Dimapur, May 1 (EMN): Business Association of Nagas (BAN) has expressed concern with the situation arising due to the abduction of the driver of a petrol tanker and his handyman at New Helipong village in Tuensang and the subsequent closure of petrol pumps throughout Nagaland.
BAN, in a press release issued by its media cell, has condemned the heinous act and appealed to the perpetrators to release the two persons without causing them any harm.
BAN has also appreciated the efforts of the state government for initiating discussions with the four organisations namely Kohima petroleum dealers’ association, Dimapur petroleum dealers’ association, Nagaland tankers’ transport association and oil tanker drivers’ union. It has also thanked the four organisations for giving assurance to open the petrol pumps for the welfare of the public.
