Asus Zenfone 9 product video gets leaked, reveals key specs and design

Asus Zenfone 9, the successor to last year’s Zenfone 8, is reportedly going to use the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and could feature a 5.9-inch Samsung AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The company is yet to make an official statement about its latest flaghip, however, a new leaked product video has been doing the rounds across the internet and it apparently reveals a lot of details about the upcoming android smartphone. This includes the SoC, the display, the battery, the colour options, the design and the camera among others.

The Asus Zenfone 9 product video was allegedly first leaked on a YouTube channel called Fenibook, though the video has since been deleted. However we found a same video posted by another channel called Techy Ave. Have a look below.

Asus Zenfone 9 design and specifications

As you can see on the leaked video, the Asus Zenfone 9 is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and also features a Samsung-made 5.9-inch AMOLED display with support for 120Hz screen refresh rate.

The Asus Zenfone will reportedly come with a dual-camera setup on the rear panel with huge prominent circular cutouts. Out of the two cameras, one of them is a 50MP Sony IMX766 with six-axis gimbal stabilisation.

In terms of the overall design, the Asus Zenfone 9 is going for the same “compact” design aesthetic as its predecessor, the Zenfone 8, did last year. The video shows that the phone will feature a punch-hole cutout on the top-left corner of the display for the selfie camera and will be available in atleast four diferent colour options: Black, White, Red, and Blue.

We won’t be surprised if Asus decides to rename the colour options come launch day.

Other notable features of the Asus Zenfone 9 as shown in the leaked product video are: A side-mounted fingerprint scanner with LED notification, stereo speakers, 3.5 mm headphone jack, 4,300mAh battery and IP68 water-resistant.

As mentioned earlier, the company has not put out any official announcement. However, seeing as the rabbit is out of the hat already, we can expect some sort of announcement about the Asus Zenfone 9 in the coming days or weeks.
