DIMAPUR — To commemorate Friendship Day, Assam Rifles organised an event at Don Bosco School, Tesiphenyu, on Sunday to promote sportsmanship and foster bonds of friendship among the students.
According to an update, a variety of sports equipment was distributed to the school on the occasion, including volleyballs, a volleyball net, footballs, carrom boards, badminton sets, shuttlecocks, and chess boards.
Friendship bands were also tied. Assam Rifles, along with 350 students and 15 teachers, participated in this gesture.
The force also celebrated Friendship Day with the students and faculty of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Pfutsero.
On the occasion, troops of the Assam Rifles and students exchanged friendship bands. A large wall was also set up, where students had written messages for the Assam Rifles.
