Dimapur, Sep. 23 (EMN): In continuance of the Hindi Day observed on Sep. 14, the ARTC & S observes Hindi Pakhwara (fortnight) from Sep. 8 to 22.
In order to promote Hindi among the Jawans five types of Hindi competitions namely Hindi typing, noting-drafting, essay writing, poem recitation and speech competition were organised at Sukhovi Garrison.
To commemorate the occasion and also to receive effective response, a prize distribution ceremony was organised on Sep. 22 under the chairmanship of Officiating Deputy Commandant of ARTC & School, Colonel Deepak Gaur.
During the programme, the best team and individual were felicitated with champion trophy and cash prizes.
The deputy commandant in his address stressed on the use of Hindi as official correspondence and also highlighted the importance of the official language. He appealed all the employees to work in Hindi and contribute in better spread of the language across the country. Further, He applauded all the participants for their excellent performance and also commended the organising staff to make the Hindi Pakhwara successful.
