Are You a Buyer or Reader?

The local dailies in Nagaland are greatly appreciated for its dedicated service to the people of the State. We get all kinds of news inside our doors through local dailies. We find local Newspapers in most of the homes in towns and villages. Yet subscription of Newspapers has become a fashion for many people. Why do I say this? This is because many people just buy local dailies without reading the content. They only buy without any/proper reading. There may be some people who only buy and keep it safe in the store room only for the rats to read and enjoy. The habit of reading must be cultivated. It does not come instantly like rain drops. Subscription of local dailies may not fashion your life, yet reading them can fashion your inner self. This is the goal, and we can achieve it.

Readings activate our minds and move our hearts towards a just life. All that is published in the Newspapers need not be true. There are some news/papers which favour one side of life; politics, church or social life. We need to sieve the alphabets, letters and ideas and critically establish our own reflection. The ability to derive our conclusion and reflection gives taste to our dormant life.

The earth revolves around the sun bringing forth cold and heat, spring, summer, autumn and winter.Likewise, there are hot and cold news, calm and fresh news. The way you read them will make you likewise. The present world is built around ideas. Good ideas can construct our life, bad ideas can destroy individuals.

Let us see the world through the local dailies and find our place in it, for we are part of the bigger planet. Do not just buy Newspapers for its own sake; rather snatch them to gain the kernel of life.

With Gratefulness,
