Dimapur, Feb. 21 (EMN): Apple is all set to launch four new Mac devices including the MacBook Pro, the MacBook Air, the Mac Mini, and the iMac Pro powered by its in-house M2 processors in 2022.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple’s Mac roadmap in 2022 consists of four new Mac devices with M2 chips. In his latest newsletter, Gurman said that Apple could release a Mac Mini with M1 Pro and M2 processor, a Macbook Pro with a 13-inch display powered by M2 chip, a redesigned MacBook Air with M2 processor and a 24-inch iMac with M2 processor.

“The M2’s CPU will presumably be a little faster than the M1, but the processor should retain the same eight-core architecture,” Gurman wrote. “Graphics, on the other hand, may see an increase from seven to eight cores to nine or ten.”

The M2 processor is expected to have the same 8-core CPU as the M1, however, it will have additional GPU cores.

Apple could launch its first Mac of 2022 at its March 8 event. The company is expected to reveal a 5G iPhone SE and a 5G iPad Air at the same event.

The iPhone maker is also set to roll out iOS 15.4, which comes with a face mask-friendly Face ID, in March as well.
