Apple drops iOS 16 support for iPhone 6s, 7 and SE

Apple’s WWDC keynote took place on Monday and the tech giant unveiled new products and also new operating systems for its phones, tablets, watches and computers. The new OS coming to Apple devices include the watchOS 9, iPadOS 16, macOS Ventura and iOS 16.
However, the announcement of new operating systems means that older devices would be phased out from the OS upgrade. According to Apple, iOS 16 is only available on iPhone 8 and later devices. Similarly, the watchOS 9 will not be supported on Apple series Watch 3 and iPadOS 16 will only support the iPad Pro versions, iPad Air (3rd generation and later), iPad (5th gen and later) and iPad mini (5th gen and later).
