Ao Students’ Union Dimapur ‘quarter marathon’ on Jan. 29

Dimapur, Jan. 26 (EMN): The Ao Students’ Union Dimapur (ASUD) through its president and convenor of organising committee invites interested citizens to participate in the upcoming ‘Quarter Marathon’ to be organised by the union on Jan. 29 in commemoration of its Golden Jubilee year. Cash prizes of INR 20,000, 10000 and 5000 will be awarded to the first, second and third position in both men and women category.
In addition, consolation cash prizes of INR 1000 each will be given to five male and female runners. Gift hampers will also be handed out to the oldest and youngest runners. Registration for the marathon will be free and desks will be open between 5 am and 5:40 am at the State stadium on the said date. Runners are requested to arrive on time and register, after which chest numbers will be allotted.There will be strict adherence to time schedule and rules laid down.
Imlimeren Jamir, Director, Rural Development, Government of Nagaland and Akashe Zhimomi, President, Dimapur Chamber of Commerce & Industries, have kindly consented to be the chief patron and patron of the event.
Sushil Kumar Patel, Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur will also exhort the participants at the flag off ceremony. The ASUD specially invites its former office bearers, secretaries and members to be a part of the marathon.
