Dimapur, Dec. 14 (EMN): Anguished by delay in releasing salary, Peren unit of the All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) has questioned the efficiency of the authority concerned in the district.
Stating that teachers have not received salary for November, the unit president Kaibakam Pamai and the general secretary Haidun Zeliang have asked the SDEO and ADEO Peren for the delay in releasing the salary despite serving two representations in the past month.
While pointing out that other districts could do their part on time, the unit has questioned the anomalies with education department of the district for repeatedly delaying in releasing of teachers’ salary. With the coming festive season, the unit stated that they have to meet all expenses of their children including the family maintenance.
Reiterating that salary being the only sustaining sources of teachers, the unit stated that if it is not paid in time, then the very survival of teacher is threatened which could adversely affect in the teaching – learning process. The unit has further asked the responsible authority to make every possible effort to release the salary of teachers.
