Dimapur, March 29 (EMN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has urged upon the concerned authority to make the common scholarship nodal cell fully functional without further delay.
In a memorandum to the state chief secretary, ANCSU has expressed displeasure over the apathetic attitude of the government towards implementation of the common scholarship portal which was notified through an office memorandum dated June 12, 2019 and October 25, 2019.
An ANCSU memorandum jointly appended by its president, Toito D Chishi, and the general secretary, Tenyesinlo Bukh, claimed that streamlining all kinds of scholarship schemes scattered in various departments was still yet to be brought forth under one umbrella/ cell. Alleging that the common scholarship nodal cell was constituted only in the paper and not in the department, ANCSU has termed it as a clear indication of negligence on the part of the state government to deliver justice for the students’ community.
While expressing discontentment on the issue, ANCSU asserted that it would not remain silent when the welfare of the students’ fraternity was turned a blind eye.
