An Urgent Appeal to the Dimapur Traffic Police

As a concerned citizen of Dimapur, I’d like to bring to notice of the Dimapur Traffic Police that there is an urgent need to check underage driving. Kids who are not eligible to ride bikes or drive cars are doing so in blatant violation of the law. And many a time, they either ride or drive recklessly. It is pertinent to note that bikers also don’t wear helmets. I think there is an overall need for the Dimapur Traffic Police to step up and implement the relevant laws. Underage driving is just one issue. Overtaking from the left should also be strictly checked and prohibited (especially by auto-rickshaws resulting in endless traffic jams and sometimes, accidents). There are many more which require the overall dedication of the concerned authorities. Sensitization and awareness are one of the means to do so. I sincerely hope the authorities will look into it at the earliest.
