Alliance Air delays Dimapur flight services

Dimapur, Dec. 4 (EMN): The proposed direct flight service connecting Dimapur to Imphal and Guwahati, which was supposed to start on December 7, has been delayed by a day.

An update from DPRO Dimapur informed on Wednesday that Alliance Air, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Air India, will start the flight services on December 8. The airline will deploy its 70-seater aircraft to operate thrice a week—Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Flight operation in the route will be initiated under Centre’s regional connectivity scheme UDAN. Flight 91 741 will depart from Guwahati at 8 am and arrive in Dimapur at 8:55 am; depart Dimapur at 9:20 am and reach Imphal at 10:10 am, informed the update. Flight 91 742 will depart from Imphal at 10:35 am and arrive in Dimapur at 11:25 am before departing for Guwahati at 11:50 am and reach the destination at 12:45 pm.

“This flight will provide the first-ever option of swift connectivity in 50 minutes from Dimapur to Imphal as getting to Imphal is almost a 7-hour bus ride from Dimapur station. Also with this flight, onward connectivity from Dimapur to Guwahati and from Guwahati to Bangalore,  Delhi, Kolkota is feasible,” read the press release.

It said one-way fares from Dimapur to Imphal and vice versa will start at INR 1811.
