Recipients of the rural talent scholarship at the 75th years of Independence Day organised AIDA-SBI Gram Seva at SBI regional business office, Dimapur.

Dimapur, Aug. 15 (EMN): ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA)-Don Bosco, implementing SBI Gram Seva programme in Dimapur, celebrated 75th years of Independence Day by handing over scholarship to selected students and youths of five adopted villages namely Khriezephe, Diezephe, Urra, Bade and Tsithrongse at the SBI Regional Business Office, Super Market.

AIDA, in an update, informed that India will celebrate its 75th Independence Day by organising several events under the banner of “Azadi ka Amrit Mohatsav” on the theme “Nation first, always first,” where 200 million tricolours will be hoisted to mark the special occasion.

“This day is dedicated to the people of India and to paying tribute to the freedom fighters, who struggled under British rule and earned freedom after 200 years,” it stated.

To honour the history of India, its culture, and the achievements of its people, AIDA-SBI Gram Seva observed the day by handing over the SBI OJAS rural talent scholarship under different categories with the objective of nurturing rural talent in the fields of academics, sports, and arts and culture.

Six students/ youth were selected from the five adopted villages and Ksh. Rameshwar Singh, chief manager, SBI RBO Dimapur, handed over the scholarship to the winners.
