AICU team visits church in Viswema

Dimapur, May 29 (EMN): All India Catholic Union (AICU) working committee led by Catholic Association of Nagaland (CAN) officials accompanied by Rev Dr. James Thoppil, Bishop of Kohima, and Rev. Dr. Gerald John Mathias, Bishop of Lucknow Diocese, paid a visit to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Viswema, on May 27.
As part of coming together in the name of unity, a mass prayer was held led by Krovil Benedict Catechist. A brief welcome note was delivered by Visato John Koso.
Short messages were shared by the AICU national president Lancy D’Cunha, social activist and former AICU national president Dr. John Dayal, CAN secretary general Er. Mhaseto Lancelot Nakro, and Rev. Dr. Gerald John Mathias. Special number titled ‘Welcome AICU to St. Joseph Catholic Church Viswema’ was presented by Viswema Catholic Youth Association.
A Konkani song was also presented from among the delegates of AICU coming from the Konkan region of India joined by Jerald Mathias and Sister Lavina from St. Joseph Higher Secondary School, Viswema, followed by a light and warm refreshment of scented rice drink known as ‘Rhünyuo Dzü’.
