Dimapur, Sep. 21 (EMN): The Nagaland Medicine Dealers’ Association (NMDA) has urged the administration, law agencies and concerned authorities to resolve the issue concerning Dimapur transporters, who are on strike since September 16, saying that it has caused acute shortage of life-saving drugs and other medicines.

In a press release, the NMDA said the lives of patients are at risk due to the strike.

It also requested the transporters to start services in order to facilitate the patients; in the interest of public health and on humanitarian ground. It went on to say that the supply of medcines should be resumed immediately as it falls under Essential Commodities Act.
